Vibe Coding 101: From Prompts to Production in 90 Seconds
Before our luxury retail immersion with Miu Miu, a few builder-practitioners visited our ESSEC classroom to show us the chaotic magic of “vibe coding”-how marketers can prototype real, working apps using Lovable, Claude Pro, GitHub, and Vercel without writing boilerplate.
The 4-Step “Vibe Coding” Machine
We started by asking Claude to structure the user flow, state models, and design system before touching any editor.
“Draft a full marketing dashboard with champagne accents...”
Paste the vibe, watch Lovable build functional React components, interactive state, and Tailwind layouts in real time.
Instant sandbox preview with clickable cards & filters
One-click push from Lovable directly to a clean Git repository. Full code ownership without lock-in.
commit: "feat: add luxury client filter tags"
Vercel’s GitHub hook picks up the push and gives you a globally distributed HTTPS preview URL in 45 seconds.

What Is “Vibe Coding” When You Strip Away the Twitter Hype?
The concept of vibe coding-popularized by AI researchers and developer influencers-is simple: instead of writing every line of syntax, functions, and CSS declarations manually, you describe the desired outcome, interaction, and aesthetic feel to an AI model, and let the model generate, debug, and connect the codebase.
For our class at ESSEC, this wasn't about replacing software engineers. It was about supercharging non-engineers and marketing strategists. Traditionally, if a brand manager had an idea for an interactive digital lookbook or a loyalty quiz, they had to write a 15-page PRD, wait for design wireframes, submit a Jira ticket, and wait three sprints for an MVP. With vibe coding, we built a working version during the 2-hour lecture.
The guest speakers opened Lovable on the projector, typed a plain English paragraph about a campaign calculator, and had an editable dashboard running in 40 seconds.
When the initial layout felt too generic, we used Claude to feed in high-end design tokens-demanding serif headings, champagne accents, and asymmetric cards.
Pushed to GitHub, connected Vercel, and everyone scanned the QR code on their phones. We had a responsive live web application before lunch.
The Honest Verdict: Magic for Prototyping, Not for Enterprise Security
Coming from a Computer Science background and having managed enterprise advertising systems at Omnicom, I appreciated both the exhilaration and the limitations of this method:
- • Rapid pitch mockups that look real in meetings
- • Instant landing pages for event registration
- • Interactive campaign calculators for clients
- • Testing creative copy in real browser containers
- • Enterprise GDPR & privacy compliance
- • Custom database schemas & authentication
- • Production stability under 100k requests/sec
- • High-security e-commerce payment gateways
“Vibe coding is the best sketching tool modern marketers have ever had. It doesn’t eliminate the need for engineering rigor, but it ensures that good ideas never die in PowerPoint.”
